Privacy policy

This policy explains how [OWNER: legal name or LLC] (“Mutt & Mile”, “we”) handles personal information when you visit https://muttandmile.com or buy from us.
What we collect
- Order information: your name, email, phone number, shipping address, the items you bought and the amount paid. You enter these on our checkout page, which is run by Stripe.
- Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Messages you send us by email.
- Email signups: your email address, if you choose to join our list.
- Usage data: privacy-friendly, cookie-free statistics about page visits (for example, which pages are viewed), from Cloudflare Web Analytics.
- Technical data at checkout: your IP address and browser type, used to prevent fraud and, if we run ads, to measure them (see below).
Cookies and storage
We don't use advertising cookies. Your cart is saved in your own browser's local storage so it's still there when you come back; it never leaves your device until you check out.
How we use it
- To process, ship and support your order, and to send order and shipping emails.
- To answer your messages and handle returns.
- To send marketing emails if you signed up or agreed at checkout. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link.
- To prevent fraud and keep the site secure.
- To measure whether our ads work (only if we run ads; see below).
Who we share it with
- Stripe, our payment processor.
- Our fulfillment and shipping partners, who receive your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
- Our email providers, to send order emails and, if you signed up, marketing emails.
- Cloudflare, which hosts this site and stores order records.
- Advertising platforms (Meta): when we advertise, we send Meta a record of a purchase with your email, phone and location in scrambled (hashed) form, plus your IP address and browser type, so Meta can tell us whether an ad led to a sale. To opt out, email us and we'll stop sending your information.
- Authorities, when the law requires it.
We don't sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for up to 400 days so we can handle returns, warranty questions and payment disputes. Once your order is handed to our fulfillment partner, we delete your street address and phone number from our own order system. Stripe and our partners keep records according to their own policies and legal obligations.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it for marketing or ads, by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law, and we honor them.
Children
Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
